Wedding Package FAQs

Q) Can I make prints from the images in my online gallery?

A) Absolutely! All the photos in your online gallery are high resolution, edited and ready to print. You can make prints anywhere you’d like, although I recommend printing directly from your gallery as I only work with the best vendors. Be sure to tell your friends + family about that feature.

Q) Can I upgrade my package later on during the year?

A) Of course you can! The base package covers many wonderful moments, but if you decide you would like to add on hours, a second photographer, or other elements, you may do that any time leading up to the wedding. Note: I will need at least a two week’s notice to acquire a second photographer.

Q) Do you travel? How does that work?

A) I LOVE to travel. Pretty pretty please give me a reason to go on a road trip or jet set to another country! Destination weddings are custom-quoted to your specific needs, so please CONTACT ME with your destination wedding information today!

Q) Can I drop a few hours from my package to save some cash?

A) You can drop hours, but it won’t save you anything. Weekends (especially Saturdays) are prime dates, so I book for the entire day, and that day is all yours.

Q) How long before we get to see our wedding photos?

A) My normal production time for a ‘Sneak Peek’ is within 24 hours and is uploaded to my Facebook page. If you are a fan of my page and my Facebook friend, I will be tagging you in my posts! Your full web gallery is ready for your viewing pleasure within 6-8 weeks (often sooner) of your wedding day! Yippee!

Booking & Payment FAQs

Q) We definitely want to book you! What’s the next step?

A) Awesome! I'm excited to work with you! To officially book me, you’ll need to sign my online contract (I can send this over for you to review at any time) and pay a non-refundable booking fee of $1000 (applicable towards your total package price). As soon as I have those two things, you’re BOOKED! I take that date off my calendar because it is ALL YOURS.

Q) It might take us a couple of months to get the booking fee saved up. Can you pencil us in?

A) Unfortunately, no, I can’t. The only way to reserve your date is to sign a contract and pay the booking fee. Because frequently there can be more than one inquiry for each open wedding date, my policy is to book the first couple who sends the deposit and the signed wedding agreement.

Q) Can we make monthly payments?

A) Definitely! Let me know when you book that you’d like to set up a payment plan and I'll hook you up!

Q) How do I pay?

A) To avoid third party fees (small businesses can lose so much through those!), my preferred methods are Venmo, Paypal, or check.  However, if you would like to pay with a credit card, we can absolutely make that happen via Stripe.

Q) Who do I make checks out to and where do I send them?

A) Kara Emily Krantz Photography, 69 Windsor St, Worcester, MA

Q) Do we need to meet face to face before booking you?

A) Coffee/tea dates are awesome, and I personally enjoy chitchatting over a salted caramel mocha latte at Fuel, Nu Kitchen, or Birch Tree Bread Company in Worcester. That being said, I will not say no if you fall in love with my work, we have a nice phone chat, and you want to lock me in for your wedding date!

Documenting a wedding is a creative task that requires both of us together. Contact me now for a coffee or Zoom/Facetime date!

Q) When is our remaining balance due?

A) Your remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding date. A reminder will be sent out via email to help keep you on track.

Q) Can we pay our final payment after the wedding?

A) The only payments that can be made after the wedding are product payments. The rest of your package must be paid no later than 14 days before your wedding.

Wedding Day FAQs

Q) Do you mind if our family members take photos at the wedding and reception?

A) Of course not! I will never tell your family to put their cameras away. However, more and more couples are deciding to go with an "unplugged" wedding ceremony so as to encourage guests to be present and to allow their professional photographer to capture distraction and gadget-free photographs of the ceremony.  One of my favorite websites, Offbeat Bride, speaks on how to best handle an unplugged wedding in this article. I will also gladly answer any of your questions!

Q) What if our reception runs later than we expected? Can you stay until the very end to capture our grand exit?

A) Of course I can! If I stay beyond our contracted hours, however, you will be billed for overtime and no proofs will be posted until the overtime has been paid in full. My hourly rate for overtime is the same as my pre-paid rate for extra hours ($400 per hour.)
